We are seeking a highly motivated legal professional. This role presents the opportunity to join an in-house legal team. About the Person
• A proactive individual who can provide a comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective legal service to the Council. To have primary responsibility for the legal team caseload, service delivery and budget. To provide effective management and leadership of the legal team, acting as Deputy Monitoring Officer.
• You will be responsible for the provision of high quality, solution focussed, varied legal support to internal clients and members across the Council.
• Knowledge and Experience of at least 2 of the following areas: Litigation (Civil & Criminal), Local Government Law, Public Law, Planning, Procurement & Contract Management, Property. To undertake matters in your area(s) of expertise and to support the Strategic Head of Legal & Governance and Monitoring Officer.
• Qualified solicitor or barrister, educated to degree level or equivalent with evidence of continuing professional development.
