Housing Assets Lead Specialist

This post is responsible for a key part of the F&HDC Housing Landlord Service and leads on delivery across three housing teams: -

•    Assets & Major works (capital programme)
•    Responsive Repairs & Maintenance
•    Asset Compliance

This post is vital to the successful delivery of the housing service and helping improve tenant satisfaction. F&HDC is continuing to make a significant investment into our stock, with a total capital budget in 23/24 of circa £9 million, that includes our retrofit programme to increase the energy efficiency of our 3,400 council owned and managed homes.

This postholder needs to be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of Asset Management - procurement, contract management, risk management, H&S and compliance. They need to be knowledgeable on current and future legislation, e.g. decent homes, and experienced in managing and delivering programmes and projects that meet this legislation. 

This post will be responsible for maintaining significant financial/ technical/ asset data and reporting to the Housing Leadership Team (HLT), to contribute to the strategic direction of the service and the development of annual, 5 year and 30-year Housing Revenue Account (HRA) business plans.
