The borough is a recent winner of the MJ council of the year award and the housing department continues in this tradition with more recent MJ wins and nominations for the UK Housing Awards, projects lead by this post. We have continued this innovation developing projects with the Marmot Institute and Policy in Practice

We’re bringing support services closer to resident’s homes, making Waltham Forest a more inclusive and accessible place for everyone. Housing is central to the councils’ future plans and our priority is to continue to ensure everyone has a decent roof over their head. Waltham Forest Housing Strategy 2019-24

The post holder will work with the head of Housing Strategy in supporting the departments service improvement through planning, managing, and delivering complex transformation and business change including strategic thinking, service improvement and cultural change

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent analytical and writing skills, be able to build relationships with colleagues, councillors, residents, and other key stakeholders, communicate well and multi-task to tight deadlines. You will thrive on working with a diverse community and partners to make a positive impact on the future of our tenants and leaseholders.
