37 hours per week (Full Time and Part Time options available)
As an organisation, we never stand still, aspiring to deliver quality services to our residents. Our plans include recruiting enthusiastic, high motivated Building Surveyors to deliver on our promises. We are looking for Surveyors with knowledge of construction, planned and reactive to provide surveying services across our housing stock and commercial portfolio – both full time and part time opportunities are available.
Leading on one of the following core functions, you will provide surveying services for the Councils c9.500 housing stock and commercial portfolio: Housing Repairs and Voids; Planned and Cyclical Maintenance; Stock Condition.
You will have excellent technical skills together with the ability to build strong contractor relationships. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team, with a shared passion for delivering the best services to the people of Welwyn Hatfield.

Combining all of this, you will have excellent budget and contractor management skills and be passionate about improving homes and making a real difference.
You will have a good level of experience in building surveying, home safety and be to communicate technical issues in a clear and understandable way. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with the skills to introduce new ideas and working practices.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
