At Adur & Worthing we are committed to taking an entrepreneurial and commercial approach to serving our communities. We are focused on using our assets and investments to improve our economy and support our communities! So…
- Are you an inspirational, forward-thinking property surveyor with an entrepreneurial focus?
- Do you have experience of working at a senior level, successfully delivering property investment, asset management and regeneration projects?
- Do you relish the opportunity of a new challenge?
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to take on this exciting and challenging opportunity to work in the Property & Investment Team in the Major Project & Investment Service at Adur & Worthing Councils.
The councils have made significant investments in commercial property and we want to maximise value from these assets whilst further growing our portfolio. Working across the Adur District and Worthing Borough administrative area provides a unique breadth of opportunity, managing two varied property portfolios, each with their individual challenges – and rewards.
This is a forward-thinking environment in which your strategic skills will flourish. We will want you to get the ball rolling and quickly gain an overview of how we can do better – looking for further opportunities to diversify and grow.
In this busy and diverse role, you will be working with a high-performing professional team. We are therefore looking for someone with excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work closely with colleagues from across the Council.
We look forward to you being an instrumental part of our ambitious regeneration vision for transforming this dynamic, waterfront area, bringing more growth and prosperity to the people of Adur & Worthing.
Staff are our most important asset and we therefore have a benefit package which reflects our continuing commitment to our employees. This includes:
- Generous leave entitlement; a minimum of 25 days + Bank Holiday entitlement
- Local Government Pension
- Training & development
- Occupational Health
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Flexible working options
We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. Staff work in a supportive and safe environment, recognising their responsibility to value and respect each other’s contributions. Standards of conduct must be of the highest level to ensure that no-one is harassed, bullied or victimised. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, staff engagement forums and are keen to hear from applicants from a variety of different backgrounds.
