About the Role
Your main role will be working with the Corporate Finance Manager to provide an accountancy and general financial advisory service to budget holders in respect of the activities carried out within service areas. You will monitor services budgets and business plans and report as appropriate. You will assist in managing and developing the Council’s financial system to ensure that maximum benefit from it is obtained for services users and efficiencies realised
About You
You will hold a minimum level 3 AAT or equivalent accountancy qualification and have experience in a finance role, preferably as Part Qualified Accountant within a Local Authority or similar organisation. Ideally have experience of using crystal reports. You will also have a good understanding of Capital Accounting and Treasury Management, with experience of monitoring large budgets, and working within financial regulations.
You must be a confident communicator, with the ability to work independently. Prioritising and working under pressure to meet all deadlines. Have the ability to problem solve, make decisions independently and create clear and concise reports, reviews and statistical analysis which contribute towards service objectives.
