We are looking for someone to join our Property and Estates Team, focusing on property compliance. The role will be a split between an administration role in the office and an active role across our property portfolio.
In the office, you will work closely with the Compliance and Facilities Manager on a daily basis to update compliance records in the property management system, ensure all necessary documents have been received from the contractors, to organise compliance work and to action necessary remedial works. You will be helping to maintain excellent compliance statistics across the Council’s property portfolio.
You will visit each of the vacant properties, once a week, to check that the properties are secure and to conduct fire alarm tests, emergency light tests and water flushing. A report for each property will then need to be produced and uploaded to the system. You will also be tasked with conducting utility meter readings, potentially some simple maintenance activities, inspecting alarm activations and consulting with tenants and contractors regarding compliance. Lone working will be necessary for the role.
You will receive great support from the Team and will gain vital experience and skills associated with compliance and facilities management.
We are looking for a diligent, hardworking, reliable team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is comfortable with learning how to use new IT systems and has their own car, with a full, clean driving licence.
