About the role

The successful candidate will act as personal/administrative assistant to the Assistant Director of a front line high profile operational division.

They will provide a complete time management, correspondence and administrative support service.

The duties include

  • Providing a comprehensive and proactive secretarial support to the Assistant Director some of which may be confidential in nature.
  • Managing a time management/effective diary service.
  • Interpreting data and writing reports
  • Facilitating and managing meetings for senior colleagues.
  • Managing and dealing with correspondence.
  • Being responsible for event management, arranging conferences, catering, equipment etc as required.
  • Exercising first line complaints management and problem solving.
  • Performing financial administration for budgets and invoices.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.

We offer the opportunity for the suitable candidate to choose to  work in a hybrid way. Your specific working arrangements will be subject to team and service working arrangements already in place alongside Government guidance.  Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
