We are looking to recruit a part time cleaner for a therapeutic adolescent home in Baldock. This is an opportunity to contribute to an exciting innovative project where the home environment is an important aspect of young people’s care.

Duties involve overseeing the upkeep of the home, ensuring it is a clean, homely and welcoming environment which will help to encourage our young people to thrive and feel nurtured. As well as being responsible for cleanliness of the home you will work as part of the team helping to prepare meals, wash laundry and be involved in the ordering of provisions for the home,  you will be working alongside our young people to help them plan weekly nutritious, healthy menus.  You will have the responsibility to report any H&S issues to the Office Manager, over see the running of COSHH and ensure that daily and weekly cleaning schedules/ equipment checks are carried out and completed on time.

You will need to be proactive and be willing to adapt to the challenges the home environment will bring

You will have the opportunity to be part of a new project which involves looking after and caring for children between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age who are stepping down from Tier 4 Mental Health 

You will have previous experience of cleaning in a professional environment, as well as attention to detail and knowledge of health and safety.
