Head of Information Technology (IT)

An exciting new position has arisen at the Drapers’ Multi-Academy Trust [the Trust]. This is a significant post that will play a key role in an ambitious Trust, alongside a committed and able leadership team. We are seeking a Head of IT to join the Trust Central Team, with a proven track record of IT experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the IT strategy for the Trust.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong experience of IT.  We want you to bring a ‘can do’ attitude, working closely with key stakeholders in the Trust.  You will be professional and articulate and be able to analyse and, where necessary, advise and report to senior leaders and the Trust Board on IT issues and strategy for the Trust.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Lead on the IT strategy and infrastructure for the Trust. 
  • Align IT operations to the strategic plans of the Trust.
  • Look for opportunities to enhance the IT service.
  • Work closely with and develop good working relations with the senior management team and other key staff and stakeholders to ensure that the Trust and its schools operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Working closely with the outsourced IT provider, ensuring accountability of service.

Salary:  Circa £60k plus LGPS Pension

Location: Drapers’ Multi-Academy Trust Campus

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time (36 hours a week)

We are offering this role as hybrid working, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to work remotely on some days, once fully embedded in the role.
