When people in the community experience a period of illness that makes day-to-day living difficult, the Surrey County Council Reablement Team is there. Working within people's homes, we promote people regaining daily living skills and general wellbeing for those who have experienced mental or physical health conditions.
We have two opportunities to join the Reablement Service as Reablement Digital and Business Assistants - one permanent, full-time (36 hrs per week) post and one part time (18hrs per week) Secondment/Fixed term opportunity until 31/03/2024.
Our Reablement Digital and Business Assistants play an important role in supporting the service by ensuring the front line Reablement staff have access to and are confident in using the technology to support their work. This involves day to day oversight and troubleshooting of our Real Time Care system, escalating issues to the system provider, training staff in use of systems and relevant technology and extracting data from various systems to provide reports and insights for management. You will also support the Resource and Finance Manager to carry out all business-related functions for the Reablement service, which may include supporting recruitment activity and providing support and guidance for administrative assistants.
Working as part of a county wide business support function, you will need to be willing and able to travel to various locations across the county and there are opportunities for agile working. Working closely with area-based management teams and team leaders, a high level of flexibility and autonomy will be needed to support the effective running of reablement services.
If you are excited about enabling staff to use technology in their roles and contributing to the effective running of services, we would love to hear from you. Your application should evidence:
- Competence in a range of IT tools.
- Experience of supporting business systems and providing training for users.
- Sound understanding of mobile technology and app-based working.
- Experience of collating and using data to inform decision making.
- Experience of supporting large teams.
- Experience of taking a supervisory / lead role.
If you are interested in the secondment role, please ensure that you discuss this with your line manager prior to submitting your application.
The job advert closes at 23:59 on 01/10/2023 with interviews to follow.
