Senior Archivist

Bromley Historic Collections, operated by charitable social enterprise GLL, is looking for an experienced Archivist to care for their collections and to manage their accredited archives service located in Bromley Central Library. The Archive collection includes the records of significant individuals, places, institutions and organisations within the borough and is the place of deposit for borough council records.

You will have the challenge of maintaining and developing an accredited archives service along with extensive local studies collections, as well as delivering a wide variety of activities for both adult and younger audiences. You will have a postgraduate qualification recognised by the Archives and Records Association, and experience of working in archive services and using cataloguing systems such as CALM, which will have given you a broad skills base including people management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

The post is full time - 36 hours per week with alternate Saturdays and some evenings working or meetings. Please note that Flexible working will be welcomed.
